Our Story
Pokka's story began in 2015 when founders Maria and James Rodriguez decided to turn their shared passion for coffee and hospitality into a dream café. Starting with a small storefront and a big vision, they set out to create a space that would bring people together over exceptional food and drink.
What started as a simple coffee shop has grown into a beloved community institution. Through the years, we've weathered challenges, celebrated successes, and always remained true to our core mission: creating a place where quality meets community.
Our journey hasn't always been easy, but it's been incredibly rewarding. From our first customer who became a regular, to the local artist whose work first graced our walls, to the countless conversations and connections that have happened over our tables – every moment has contributed to making Pokka what it is today.
Today, Pokka serves thousands of customers each month, employs a dedicated team of 25 staff members, and continues to be a cornerstone of our local community. But despite our growth, we've never forgotten our humble beginnings or the values that got us here.
